IEC REQUIREMENTS DISQUALIFY THABISO JACOBS FROM CONTESTING SEFHOPHE WARD

Thabiso Jacobs has withdrawn from contesting the Sefhophe Ward by-election, with his administration citing unforeseen circumstances and requirements set by the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC).

In a statement, the MNB Administration said Jacobs had been forced to withdraw from the electoral contest due to the circumstances surrounding the IEC requirements.

The administration thanked supporters for their encouragement, solidarity and support throughout the campaign.

“Further updates will be communicated in due course,” the statement said.

MNB said it remained committed to serving and standing with residents of Sefhophe Ward in the development of the area.
